Gluten-Free Glazed Cookies

Delicious rum glazed cookies perfect for your next celebration. For a rum-free frosting, simply substitute milk for the rum. 



  • ½ stick unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp white rum 
  • 1 tbsp milk of choice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 packs Kim & Jakes Vegan Italian Cream Cookies
  • Gold sprinkles
  • Purple sprinkles
  • Green sprinkles
  • Optional: Gold, purple, and green food coloring

Note: for a rum-free frosting, simply substitute milk for the rum 




  1. Combine the softened butter and powdered sugar into a large bowl. Use an electric mixer to mix until combined.
  2. Add the rum, milk, and vanilla extract. Continue to mix until you have a smooth frosting. If too thick, add more milk ½ tbsp at a time.
  3. Decorate the cookies by spreading 1/2 tbsp frosting over each cookie, and sprinkling with Mardi Gras inspired sprinkles. To swirl food coloring, drop one small drop onto the frosted cookie and gently swirl with a fork.
